One of the worst bit of news to get on a vacation is that you have head lice, especially when you are in Aruba where there is no one to treat it. This recently happened to one of our clients while on vacation in Aruba with her daughter. Enjoying her vacation, she goes to a popular hair stylist in Aruba to have extensions put into her hair. The hair stylist decides to wash the clients hair first because she said that the client had tons of dandruff. That's odd, the client thinks, I usually don't suffer from dandruff. The stylist dries her hair and then starts putting in the hair extensions. When she is about to start putting the hair extensions in she notices something moving on her clients hair. She gets a magnifying glass to be able to see better. She calls over another hair stylist to take a look. Concerned the client asks "is my hair falling out"? The second hair stylist answers "no mam you have head lice". The client jumps out of the chair and doesn't know what to do. She decides to leave and in the hotel researches how to get rid of head lice. With no help from the web, she ties up her and her daughter's hair and puts hats on them until they come back to New York City. A week later when her plane arrives and literally touches the ground, she calls Hair Fairies and asks for an appointment for her daughter and herself to kill the lice she brought home from Aruba. After dropping off their luggage at their homes they then headed straight to Hair Fairies to get rid of their head lice. What a crazy and “lousey” vacation.
