Hair Fairies on ABC Nightline

Yes folks, it's all true! We've just featured on ABC's pretigious news show Nightline! The piece is called Attack of the Superlice and deals with emergence of the so called "Superlice" – lice that have built up resistence to many available treatments. The problem is that highly toxic treatments are over used and the lice have built up immunity, just like many other bugs have become resistent to antibiotics. Hair Fairies was invited on the show, as we offer an alternative way to treat head lice, a treatment that is all natural, and one that those pesky nits don't build up a resistence too. The demand for Hair Fairies' nitpicking services is increasing. We've now opened up stores in 5 major cities and we aim to open up stores in every single state. Head Lice and Hidden Identity

In our LA Hair Fairies salon, we recently had a teenage client who completely forbade her mom to give us her real name! So it comes time for the client's head lice treatment, and our technician asks, "so, um, what would you like us to call you?" And the girl thinks and then says "Carmen!" Hair Fairies technician: "Really? Wow! That's totally my name too! Girl: "No way?" Technician (laughing): "No, not really, my name is Nancy but I thought it be cool to change my name too!" The girl sits for treatment, and after about 45 minutes of conversation she reveals to Nancy her real name?? it's beautiful, but we can't tell? a promise is a promise

Head Lice and Languages

Yesterday one of our clients in NYC was having trouble communicating with her Spanish-only speaking housekeeper that her son had head lice!! Jenn, our super smart NYC manager suddenly remembered way back from her training in LA, almost 4 years ago, that the Spanish word for head lice is piojos! Head Lice Tales of the City

Quite often kids have such a good time at Hair Fairies, that they ask Mom if they can hold their birthday parties in a salon. Party on! A client in San Francisco today struck another beautiful note.  The little boy was on his final treatment, and he asked his Mom, well in fact demanded, that he keep coming  in to Hair Fairies, even when he didn't have head lice anymore. Now there's a happy client!

Head Lice, Nits and Movies

And this just in from our San Francisco salon? One of our kids wasn't concerned about how many nits or bugs she had, but she was really worried that she couldn't finish her movie, "The Parent Trap" on time! Our Hair Fairies technician was also watching the movie while combing her out, and the word is they'll be for sure finishing the movie together on the second treatment visit  :-)  You gotta love the Parent Trap! who doesn't ?!

Musical Head Lice in Chicago

A few days ago, we had a 5 year old girl in our Chicago salon, and she needed us to get rid of her head lice. Eric sees her holding a disc and he asks "did you bring your own movie along?" She shakes her head no, and holds it out for us to see. It's the Essential Michael Jackson Collection!! We all start laughing and ask if she wants us to put it in so she can listen to it. Jammin out to the King of Pop! Awesome! The moral of the story? Head lice don't have to take the fun out of your family's life. Just grab your kid's favorite music and come on down to Hair Fairies.
