“Spook the lice away at Hair Fairies!” Hair Fairies San Francisco Lice Salon

For the month of Halloween, what better ways to celebrate the fright then to have our very own scary decorations at our Head Lice treatment salons!  Here in San Francisco, we have a ghoul-ishly discombobulated Witch to greet you at our door.  A bloody jumping skeleton hanging from our lights will entice the frantic parents away from the scare of head lice.  We have lots of spidery cob webs, bats from our chandelier, and spiders for that extra fright! “Kids like to come to us not just for the head lice treatment” Hair Fairies San Francisco

Kids want to stay not for the head lice treatment but for the entertainment here! Last week, a little boy did not want to return back to school after he was treated for head lice. He told his mom he wanted to wait for his little brother to finish his treatment before leaving. But the mom was well aware that it was because he loved playing our Nintendo DS (which has 30 to 40 games in one chip!) and maybe not so much of actually waiting for his brother. This happens quite often at Hair Fairies. Kids who come here generally like our toys, entertainment and kid friendly service… Kids even look forward to coming BACK here when they somehow contract lice again! Parents tell us their kids were so happy when they were informed that they were going back to Hair Fairies (even if it was just to get a lice screening)! That’s what we love to hear and hope to always get this feedback! Hair fairies is the best place to be, lice or no lice!   We have everything up our sleeves here at Hair Fairies: video games and dvd players! They are the most amazing inventions and are the best ways to keep kids still and entertained

We hear the funniest and darndest things here at Hair Fairies–most of it is educational and worthy of a prevention.  For example, we had clients who taught us how to say head lice in German, French, Filipino, J apanese, and Spanish.  Just the other day, our clients were discussing proper lice prevention measures and how NOT to get head lice. One person said, "when it comes to head Lice, sharing is not caring."  LOL  We couldn't agree more in the context of sharing hats and anything head related.   We know that in a family unit, head lice can be easily transferred from one family member to the another.  Just by sharing hats, pillow cases, and combs/brushes we may transfer a head louse from one person's head to another.  So the saying goes, "When it comes to Head Lice, Sharing hats and anything head related is not caring for the person who will get it! smiles,

�Fish tail braids are A-okay!� Hair Fairies San Francisco

Fish tail braids are A-okay here at our lice salon in San Francisco!  We had several of our clients (who requested to have us braid their hair in fish tail braids) come in for their second lice treatment most excited about getting their braids again.  We are very happy to oblige them!  It is simply because we know that this may lower the chances of getting head lice.  Having your hair up in buns and braids may give the head louse a lot more of a struggle and challenge in crawling up the hair shaft compared to when the hair is down and flowing.   You can call any location to ask or further education on other lice prevention measures!  Here are some pictures that we have taken of our fish tail braids.  Every Hair Fairies’ location is different so if you have the chance, just ask your hair fairy’s tech what kinds of braids and hairdos they can give you!    

�On the Spot School screenings at Hair Fairies�. in and out in one day!� Hair Fairies San Francisco

We had an impromptu booking for a large school lice screening this week and it was phenomenal!  It all started with one parent who came to use our services.  After we had educated and treated her daughter at the Hair Fairies San Francisco lice treatment salon the mother called her daughter’s school to inform them about our FREE Lice checks from our salon "on the spot".  We were able to book the school lice check the next day and book a car to travel down to the South Bay.  The school was very welcoming and understood why our presence and expertise in Head Lice screenings are key to control and manage head lice in schools. The lice check turned out well and the school even booked us for a follow up this Thursday! We are proud and appreciative of their efforts to keep lice from spreading. Their efforts will most definitely pay off and ward off the head lice. We dropped off a Lice Repellent Spray for them to use, a folder with informative and educational parent letters, and all the literature on head lice possible to help other families at their school.

Constance Matthews reports in: So, Friday we had the cutest kids in. My afternoon client was a girl, about 7ish, who watched Harry Potter and actually talked to the characters in the movie as if she were there! She'd say things like, "Harry, you should have told him you were trying to catch the train to Hogwarts!" or "Wow, Hermione, you hair looks different from last time." She also kept us all up to date on where she was in the movie world- like, "Oh, we're in the flying car now!" and "I'm going to Hagrid's now!" The girl after her, about 9, just had the most gorgeous hair, I had to make a fuss over her and give her a fancy "do". When she was done & still had to wait for her mom & sis to finish up, she couldn't help but dance all around the salon floor- which was fine cause they were the only family there. Too cute! Not too bad for a Friday the 13th!

Satisfaction is guaranteed here at Hair Fairies — even when we have lost our wireless headset in the process of  checking you out 🙂 We had a family last week who came in for head lice treatments.  After I had checked the clients out, I noticed they had left their bag of products and personal belongings on our sofa at our Head Lice Salon.  The family already had left a few seconds and were catching a cab.  I quickly stormed out of the salon with my wireless phone attached to my headset in the side of my scrubs pocket.   Happily I was able to run the cab down so I could hand that family their belongings.  When I returned back to the salon I noticed that my head set was attached but the wireless phone was nowhere to be found.    The wireless phone that was attached to the headset had fallen out of my scrub pocket while I was rushing to give the clients their much needed lice products.  Hair Fairies customer satisfaction guaranteed even if it means losing a phone  :-)

One of our moms at Hair Fairies said to her child, “I will pick you like a chimpanzee but I will not eat it,” and somehow we agree with that saying 100% here at Hair Fairies- the Head Lice Helpers.  This “fantabulous” mother was very understanding. Hair Fairies lice treatment salon in  San Francisco would like to thank a very special someone who has donated this book entitled, “Venus- the Global Child.”  This book is a great compliment to our book selection here at our location because it teaches children  diversity and education in general!  One of our mottos here at Hair Fairies is, “Children are smart, educate them”  and this relates back to what we are doing here at Hair Fairies everyday. not only do we treat head lice and help to care, nurture, and educate our clients on head lice, but we also provide fun and educational materials such as our book selection. Even our movies at Hair Fairies San Francisco lice treatment salon are also educational.  We have movies like Dora the Explorer, The Magic School Bus, and Blue's Clues!  We like to build our environment to be as nurturing and educational as possible to make clients feel welcomed as they are coming in to get treated or screened at our head lice treatment medical salon!
