Summer Screenings!

Just because it’s the end of the school year doesn’t mean you can’t catch lice! Right when school ends you start summer camp, hang with friends more, or travel in or out of the country. These are the times when lice tend to be spread. Be sure to keep your hair up in buns or braids and reduce any head-to-head contact as much as you can. The Best at What I do

I’m trying to be the best at what I do which means wearing a lot of different hats when running a company. I recently decided to personally learn how to run our Google Adwords Campaign so when I do hire a specialist I can speak their jargon and excel even further. It’s a true never ending labyrinth of knowledge and to be honest I have to take a very deep breath before making the call. It’s complicated and takes much willingness and desire to learn while working with a variety of personalities over the phone. The best way to do this is call Google everyday and work with a different representative everyday for a minimum of 1.5 hours. They are ready and willing but boy you better be on top of your game. They move fast! I returned from an highly productive amazing trip to Portland visiting a manger and store there this weekend and came home to this…. That’s Not Yours, It’s Mine!

Clients have come in to our salon stating that they all use the same hair brushes (a big no-no!) at home. We suggest that everyone use their own brush to help isolate the lice problem to a specific person instead of sharing it with the whole family. Every time we mention this to parents, hair brushes fly off the shelf and they are even different colors so you can coordinate a color to every family member. Make sure you use your own brush and that it’s cleaned every time between use.

Did you know Hair Fairies has many partnerships with Summer Camps? Children and teens are very active during the summer – and so are head lice! We provide free camp screenings, and we can also do on-site treatments for sleep-away/overnight camps. Lice Check?
