A Successful Hair Fairies Lice Salon School Visit

I just want to say thank you so much. Dayanana and Brian (I hope I spelled their names correctly) were terrific.  They worked so well with the staff and students, and worked so diligently.  I am in the process of trying to get "Hair Fairies" to come back. My Assistant Principal is interested in parent workshops and also more handouts for the students. The nurse said she would give out the pamphlets as well. I will be in touch to schedule another day.  Thank you again. Please send anything by mail (business cards, coupons, pamphlets) to me and I will make sure its distributed. Thank you again!! Debby H. Hair Fairies Go to School to Stop Head Lice

Hair Fairies Launches Cash Back Donations to Schools LOS ANGELES — Oct. 2, 2012 Back-to-school means head lice also settle into classrooms, lockers and buses, so HairFairies is initiating a $5 cash-back donation to any school that refers a family to Hair Fairies lice treatment salons located in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York City and Fairfield, Connecticut. In addition, Hair Fairies will give a 5 per cent donation to each school that books Hair Fairies lice screenings in the school — in addition to Hair Fairies standard FREE first two hours of screenings to participating schools. For example, if screenings after the first two hours generate $300 for Hair Fairies, the donation would be $15 and so on. In anticipation of Halloween, Hair Fairies is offering FREE head lice screenings on Wed., Oct. 17 in all of its salons. Trick-or-treat costumes are great breeding grounds for head lice and Hair Fairies wants to help families get a head start on the holiday. With my own children running around athletic fields, packed with other kids in many moms’ cars and sharing helmets, towels and caps with almost everyone, I know how easy it is for head lice to find new homes at the start of school, said Maria Botham, CEO of Hair Fairies. Fall is a dream season for head lice. But our treatments are the safe solution for frantic families because everything we use is USDA organic certified. Hair Fairies has a high success rate because its three-step lice removal process has been proven for more than a decade. The technicians evaluate the stage of infestation, physically nit-pick the active lice and eggs from the head and provide treatment to condition the scalp and discourage immediate re-infestation. Manuel removal of lice is the only sure way to stop the parasites. This is done based on scientific research and with proprietary non-toxic products such as shampoos, combs and rinses developed and produced to USDA organic certification in the company’s laboratory in Calif. Harsh chemicals are never part of Hair Fairies’ lice treatment product ingredients. Most insurance companies approve partial payment of Hair Fairies treatments that also qualify for Flexible Spending Accounts, a validation of the treatment’s success. More information about Hair Fairies, including its at-home program and special coupons, is available at staging.hairfairies.com. # # #

It’s Back to School Time for Head Lice

A Summer of Outdoor Activities Brings Lice to Peak Season (LOS ANGELES — Aug. 17, 2011) New backpacks are not the only thing many students will be carrying on the first day of school.  Head lice attach themselves to children’s heads randomly and often go undetected from summer activities such as camps, playgrounds or sports teams.  But they do not go away on their own and parents often are at a loss for a fix to the vexing problem.  This is where Hair Fairies, national full-service clinical salons devoted to lice removal, goes to work to evaluate, treat and eliminate lice with a 100 percent guarantee of success.  The company is offering a $30 initial screening. “We had wasted time, money and patience on over-the-counter treatments that didn’t work, “said Patricia Caplan, San Francisco mother of two.  “The lice spread from my daughter to my son and me.  Hair Fairies dispelled the myths about lice, gave me a thorough education on how we would be treated and what to expect.  I’m so glad to get this behind us before the kids start a new school year.  I would feel so bad if they were the carriers of lice to their classes.” Kyle Vuong, manager of Hair Fairies’ San Francisco salon, says “There’s no way around it, lice removal is manual work.  And it takes some time.  Our trained salon professionals usually treat clients in efficient sessions of one to three hours, depending upon the client’s condition.  Most parents do not have the bandwidth or training to do that on their own.” Hair Fairies has a high success rate because they have a three-step process proven over more than a decade.  First, they evaluate the stage of infestation, then they physically “nit-pick” the active lice and eggs from the head and, finally, they provide treatment to condition the scalp and discourage immediate re-infestation.  This is done based on scientific research and with all-natural, non-toxic shampoos, combs and rinses developed and produced in the company’s laboratory in Riverside, Calif. “Lice are an epidemic that gets worse each year,” says Hair Fairies CEO Maria Botham.  “About three percent of students have lice at any given time, so the odds for coming in contact with lice are more common than many parents realize.  After the initial denial of their child having lice, parents are perplexed about what to do and the dedication required to eliminate the pesky crawlers.  As the pioneers in this service, we have perfected not only products but also techniques that work.  We are the safe solution for frantic families.” For parents who want to treat their children or themselves at home, Hair Fairies provides its products and instructions purchased online.  They also offer free lice identification from an e-mailed photo.  In addition, the company provides in-school examinations and information sessions. Hair Fairies salons are located in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.  Most insurance companies approve at least partial payment of Hair Fairies treatments that also…
