About two days ago I had a client
who was 3yrs old who needed to get screened for head lice. Here at Hair Fairies
we have every age imaginable receiving lice treatment or getting
screened. This little boy was so scared to sit in the chair. He kept screaming,
“No scissors! No scissors!” I got on my knee and showed him I only had a
comb in my hand and that there would be absolutely no scissors anywhere. Once
he sat down he calmed down and picked Barney and Friends to watch from our
movie list. I set him up with a personal DVD player and gave him a lollipop. He
completely forgot about his head getting checked for lice. I started to
wet his hair and comb him out and throughout the entire time he kept singing at
the top of his lungs every Barney songs that would come out. He even tried to
teach me the theme song so we could sing along together. Everyone in the
entire salon was laughing and trying to learn the Barney theme song. I would
say a couple more times listening to the song and I think all the technicians
working here have got it down! American Idol here we come!
