It’s a Dirty Job, but Someone’s Gotta Do It!

We recently had a frantic mother call in to Hair Fairies wanting to book a lice treatment for her daughter. She mentioned how she had been dealing with head lice for over two months and she was tired of trying to get rid of it herself. While attempting to treat her daughter at home yet again, her daughter was dreading spending days on the kitchen counter being combed out by mom. That is when her daughter told her, “Why don’t you just take me to Hair Fairies and it’s done!”    Apparently her daughter watched an episode of Dirty Jobs where Hair Fairies was featured and thought it was a great idea to visit next time she had head lice. That time came sooner rather than later so mom made an appointment to come in to our newest lice salon here in Dallas. I am happy to say they had a great experience and the best part about it, is that they are lice free! This was one time mom was happy her daughter was watching TV.

This is how San Francisco Salon celebrated our 14th Birthday!

Happy birthday to Hair Fairies! We can’t believe 14 years has passed by us so quickly! It was a pleasant surprise for all our technicians when they came in Saturday morning for our monthly meeting and find cupcakes awaiting them. In celebration of Hair Fairies birthday each location had cupcakes ready for each technician. Here in San Francisco, we had red velvet, tiramisu, smores, and dark chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. The cupcakes were purchased from a popular cupcake company called “Cakos”. It was sure delicious! Thank you Hair Fairies and to our owner, Maria Botham, for letting all the hair fairy lice removal technicians join in the celebration. Happy birthday to us and many more years to come!

14 years of Excellence

14 Years of Excellence  This month will be the 14th year of business for Hair Fairies Inc and our un-matched lice removal services. Maria Botham was/is a leader in this new industry and put much time and dedication to make sure that families across the Nation (and later this year overseas) have a place to go to get rid of head lice. It’s amazing what Maria and our Company have brought to families and employees over the years. I know being able to make a career out of this industry and in helping people with lice issues has been amazing adventure for Maria. So THREE CHEERS to you Maria Botham and the HAIR FAIRIES INC…Here's to another 20 years.

Hair Fairies San Francisco lice salon had a client call us telling us that her hair dresser found something in her hair and needed us to confirm whether or not it was head lice. When she came in, we indeed found eggs in her hair. When we asked her what salon she came from, we realized that earlier that morning, we actually called that salon to tell them about our lice treatment services. What luck?! Hair Fairies dedicates time to spreading awareness about our services to: doctors, pharmacies, schools, and salons. The New School Agenda

Head lice has been such a huge epidemic in New York that school counselors have been discussing head lice with the students. Many girls explained how they previously had it and their parents had treated it but unfortunately we still found that they still had it. The school counselor asked for us to explain to the children what steps they must take in order to get fully rid of head lice. Some of the girls were pretty freaked out when we told them they had head lice, but felt a lot better once we explained that the problem could be resolved and that we have a clinical hair salon that will rid them and their families of head lice. In the picture it shows a girl saying her head is itchy, and they drew a head lice walking on her hair.
