Working at Hair Fairies the Head Lice Helpers is rewarding, interesting and yes most of the time fun. Being that the head lice removal process is long and laborious, we have plenty of time to get to know our clients very well.
During a group conversation a client asked the technicians on the floor, "What do you tell people you do for a living?" Almost instantly and unanimously a reply "We lie"
One tech said "I'm a hairdresser." Another said "I'm a guidance counselor." There were a few others called out, when a client states" Well technically you are not lying you are counselors and hairdressers." At this point one tech speaks out "Honies, there is no shame in what we do. I say the truth. I'm a pediculosis specialist!" The room burst into laughter.
In the end we all agreed, we are PEDICULOSIS SPECIALISTS!
