When in Doubt, Laugh More about Head Lice

Laughter has recently been identified as a sociological response. Perhaps it was used as a form of communication in the past, as the mere sound of laughter will cause laughter as a response. And when another day seems gray at Hair Fairies Chicago, and the child in my work chair can’t even muster a smile, I take it as an opportunity to start laughing more. At the movie the child is watching, at my coworkers jabs at celebrities, even at my own silly jokes. Soon after the child’s face cracks a little and the smiles start coming. Laughter follows soon after. The kid realizes that they are allowed to laugh and can finally relax and enjoy their time here a little more. And just when I question if I’m laughing too much I remember some of the health benefits of it and can rest easy. Laughter reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, raises energy levels, and helps you bond with others. It is said that 100 laughs are equal to 10 minutes on a rowing machine at the gym or 15 on a stationary bike. So get in your workout and laugh. The phrase ‘laugh and the world laughs with you’ was coined for a reason. Let Hair Fairies,  The Head Lice Helpers, make you smile!
