Recently, we had a family come in who had never dealt with head lice before. The reason why they were coming in was because they found out that 2 children they were babysitting had contracted head lice. Needless to say, everyone was in shock… especially the parents who were taking their anniversary trip in the Bahamas. Luckily, just the 2 girls had it, but the family that was babysitting said that the $30 screening fee is worth every penny. Not just because you get the peace of mind knowing you don't have head lice, but also the educational lesson you receive from our technicians about head lice. By the time this family left, they said they felt like lice experts and are WAY more prepared in case one of their own children picks up this pesky bug in the future.
One of our lead tech, Tina, is leaving for Europe! We are estactic for her and her endeavors. She also completed her degree in psychology this semester and we had a pizza party last week for Tina! It was a pleasure to have her in our team and we will miss her dearly! (Pic attached)

SIRI, A client was overwhelmed on how bad her daughter's lice infestation was after trying to rid her of the head lice herself, that she decided to ask SIRI for help, and sure enough she found what she was looking for "Hair Fairies" the head lice helpers. She was happy to find out that there was a location in Fairfield CT that was close to her town and she can drive to. She called immediately and was able to be treated the same day and in time for her daughter to get back to school and her to work.
School is almost over! You've made it the entire school year without getting it, but don't start relaxing quite yet. Recently we had a family come in, who went the entire school year without getting head lice… or so they thought. Lice letters had been going out every couple of months, and after numerous checks, the daughter was fine. They started getting a little carefree and stopped applying the prevention oil and let her daughter go to school with her hair down. Unfortunately, with just 2 weeks of school to go, the daughter had picked up head lice and had given it to the rest of the family. Stay safe, keep that hair up and tight and don't forget to apply the prevention oil around the hair line!
Magic Comb, We had a 5 year old girl at our Hair Fairies Treatment Salon in CT that was being entertained by watching the movie Aladdin while she was being treated for head lice, and her mother while holding her hand says to her "Oh Hair Fairies is like the movie that you are watching, instead of a magic lamp they have a magic comb that makes all your head lice disappear". The little girl was very happy to know that her hair was being combed by our magic comb, that she asked her mom to get her one because it was going to make her hair grow even faster!
This week I had a man call inquiring about our service, in the mist of this all he tells me that the appointment is for his fianc�. He said that on their anniversary he decided to pop the question! He said he got on one knee and said, “Will you marry me?” Of course she said yes, so the man explains to me that he got up to give her a kiss and he noticed while he ran his fingers through her hair a little bug was there. He then tells her, “There’s something in your hair honey!” I happy to say Hair Fairies was their first and last stop before the alter! Congrats, I wish you guys many years to come!
A mom came into Hair Fairies with her daughters to get their hair treated for head lice. After they were done, we gave them a beautiful braid, and some of our dye hard color requested by the client. The girls looked at their hair and were very pleased with their hair. One of the daughters went up to the mother and said "Mommy look I have a fashionable hairdue." They were excited to know they were coming back in a few days because they wanted to see what other "fashionable hairdue" the hair fairies would give them.
Hair Fairies has all kinds of clients come in and out of its doors. One particular client was starting out her cupcake business when she found out her daughter had lice. She came in for her first lice treatment and brought us chocolate and strawberry cupcakes to test out along with little cards to check off what we liked and disliked. On her next visit she again brought us cupcakes, this time lemon and red velvet with cream cheese frosting. While she was having her second and final lice treatment she asked us to fill out the little cards for a second time, which we did. All the fairies said they loved them and that she should come by more often. She assured us that as much as she enjoyed her time at Hair Fairies she would love to come by, but just to say hello, not to have lice again.
We recently had a dad come in with his daughter to be treated for head lice. He was HILARIOUS! Due to the fact his daughter has had head lice before, he told us when walking through the door, "Repeat offender coming through!" He even interacted with the clients telling them, "Hair Fairies are the best, everyone should come here!" Again, we appreciate all our clients. Keep reading our blogs to see if your story appears!
