“Thanks Jessica B. and Happy B-day! ” Hair Fairies San Francisco

Look what our lovely colleague brought to work yesterday!  It was Jessica's  Birthday and a cheesecake arrived!  Over the past weekend, the team (and company) had given Jessica flowers for her bday. We like to celebrate birthdays with our Hair Fairies lice treatment salons.  We couldn't think of anything better than to give all our technicians flowers on their birthdays from Hair Fairies. It was very kind for Jessica to return the favor by bringing in the cake.  It was delish!  The strawberries were whole, fresh, and very scrumdiddlyumptious ( Charlie and the chocolate factory reference) smiles! Just because we have to remove lice doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy having some cake and eating it too!

“Did you know we have a video tutorial for lice removal in Espanol?!”

Did you know we have a online video tutorial both in English and in Spanish?!  Even at our Head Lice salon in San Francisco, we needed the help from our video in showing clients what we do.   We had a Spanish speaking family who were in need of a head lice treatment.  The mother, daughter, and grandmother barely spoke any English…so we showed them visually from our video how to comb and use our lice products.  We also took the lap top/notebook and showed them our lice removal tutorial in Spanish while we treated the daughter.  The family was so thankful! and who knew our online tutorial would come in handy even in the salon where we remove lice firsthand!

“Thank you for the Sift pastries, it was delish!

Thank you, thank you, & thank you from the bottom of our hearts!  Our lovely clients bought our team some pastries from Sift Bakery on California and fillmore street — just blocks away from our San Francisco lice treatment Salon.  We appreciate the thought and might we add that the cookies were delicious!  A mother actually had walked out to get her daughter a snack while she was being treated for head lice and she came back bearing cookies for our technicians. Such a gracious gesture!

It’s a S and V situation, and we love it! San Francisco Hair Fairies

We have a family named the S.'s who have been working with us since Dec 26th to get their daughter lice free from a month long infestation. They recommended that their close friends, the V.'s come in and get screened for lice as well. These two families scheduled their appointments at the same time for the Saturday after Christmas. This would be a second visit for Girl S. and a preliminary screening for Girl V. The V.'s arrived first with a big bag of presents that they hid under our salons tree. When the S. family came in everyone went to the treatment room to get started. There was also a third family there with a little girl. All three little ladies got very chatty- it was very cute. Then, after 45 minutes, Girl V. was declared not to be infested with lice but she stayed and waited for her friend to complete her visit. At one point Girl V. left the lice treatment room and returned with the bag of Christmas gifts. Girl S. squealed and asked if she could hold her gifts while getting treated and her mom and I responded that she could open them. It was adorable and a treat to be a part of their belated Christmas celebration. Girl S. was elated with her presents but was somehow able to keep the bouncy excitement to a minimum so that I could still continue to comb lice out of her hair and finish her treatment. I just couldn't help but share this story, it tugged at my heart strings so!

"Happy Holidays!"   Hair Fairies San Francisco Lice Treatment Salon would like to say "thank you" for our lovely Hanukkah gift from one of our wonderful clients!  It was very memorable and delicious :-). Don't worry its a care package from Hair Fairies in order to help assist you in dealing with your child's head lice. If you have received our Lunch Bags with:   -a 2 oz. shampoo or clenz cream -Free Head Lice Screening Card -Parent letter stating that your child has head lice and how to deal with it   -Business card with technicians name and specimen found on child   Please give us a call!  Your child has head lice. The new lunch Bag Program has been going exceptionally well!. We have worked with many schools and have been checking students of all age ranges.  The nice thing is it is all confidential and the children are treated with lots of care and patience.  To improve school lice screenings we now provide a Lunch Bag for the child who has been found to have head lice (during a school screening) with contents that will help with all the questions and frustrations that parents have when finding head lice on their child. Make sure you ask us about our Lunch Bag Program for your school. We also offer 2 Free hours of head lice screenings to schools!

“Spook the lice away at Hair Fairies!” Hair Fairies San Francisco Lice Salon

For the month of Halloween, what better ways to celebrate the fright then to have our very own scary decorations at our Head Lice treatment salons!  Here in San Francisco, we have a ghoul-ishly discombobulated Witch to greet you at our door.  A bloody jumping skeleton hanging from our lights will entice the frantic parents away from the scare of head lice.  We have lots of spidery cob webs, bats from our chandelier, and spiders for that extra fright! Ultimately, we want to scare away the head lice and make this experience as spirited as the spirit of Halloween!  Make sure to check out all of our salon locations since each location has their very own spooky Halloween decorations.

“Kids like to come to us not just for the head lice treatment” Hair Fairies San Francisco

Kids want to stay not for the head lice treatment but for the entertainment here! Last week, a little boy did not want to return back to school after he was treated for head lice. He told his mom he wanted to wait for his little brother to finish his treatment before leaving. But the mom was well aware that it was because he loved playing our Nintendo DS (which has 30 to 40 games in one chip!) and maybe not so much of actually waiting for his brother. This happens quite often at Hair Fairies. Kids who come here generally like our toys, entertainment and kid friendly service… Kids even look forward to coming BACK here when they somehow contract lice again! Parents tell us their kids were so happy when they were informed that they were going back to Hair Fairies (even if it was just to get a lice screening)! That’s what we love to hear and hope to always get this feedback! Hair fairies is the best place to be, lice or no lice!   We have everything up our sleeves here at Hair Fairies: video games and dvd players! They are the most amazing inventions and are the best ways to keep kids still and entertained

“When it comes to lice; Sharing is not caring” Hair Fairies San Francisco Lice Treatment Salon

We hear the funniest and darndest things here at Hair Fairies–most of it is educational and worthy of a prevention.  For example, we had clients who taught us how to say head lice in German, French, Filipino, J apanese, and Spanish.  Just the other day, our clients were discussing proper lice prevention measures and how NOT to get head lice. One person said, "when it comes to head Lice, sharing is not caring."  LOL  We couldn't agree more in the context of sharing hats and anything head related.   We know that in a family unit, head lice can be easily transferred from one family member to the another.  Just by sharing hats, pillow cases, and combs/brushes we may transfer a head louse from one person's head to another.  So the saying goes, "When it comes to Head Lice, Sharing hats and anything head related is not caring for the person who will get it! smiles,

�Fish tail braids are A-okay!� Hair Fairies San Francisco

Fish tail braids are A-okay here at our lice salon in San Francisco!  We had several of our clients (who requested to have us braid their hair in fish tail braids) come in for their second lice treatment most excited about getting their braids again.  We are very happy to oblige them!  It is simply because we know that this may lower the chances of getting head lice.  Having your hair up in buns and braids may give the head louse a lot more of a struggle and challenge in crawling up the hair shaft compared to when the hair is down and flowing.   You can call any location to ask or further education on other lice prevention measures!  Here are some pictures that we have taken of our fish tail braids.  Every Hair Fairies’ location is different so if you have the chance, just ask your hair fairy’s tech what kinds of braids and hairdos they can give you!
