  Loving the Dye Hard hair color At Hair Fairies treatment salon in CT we had two sisters get treated for head lice, and at the end we styled their hair applying our Dye Hard hair color gel. They were both thrilled and SO happy at the way they looked that their mom promised to bring them back for Halloween to have their hair done by us.

Baby’s first lolipop!

  Baby's first lolipop! We had a nineteen month old baby that came to our head lice treatment salon here in CT for a lice treatment. She was a bit frightened of the metal comb and technicians approaching her head and touching her. So I asked the mom if it was ok to give her a lollipop. Little did I know that the lollipop I had just given her was her first lollipop EVER… boy did this make a big difference in her mood. She was so happy at this new tasty mouth watering organic strawberry lolipop that was just melting in her mouth. Kids want to stay not for the head lice treatment but for the entertainment here! Last week, a little boy did not want to return back to school after he was treated for head lice. He told his mom he wanted to wait for his little brother to finish his treatment before leaving. But the mom was well aware that it was because he loved playing our Nintendo DS (which has 30 to 40 games in one chip!) and maybe not so much of actually waiting for his brother. This happens quite often at Hair Fairies. Kids who come here generally like our toys, entertainment and kid friendly service… Kids even look forward to coming BACK here when they somehow contract lice again! Parents tell us their kids were so happy when they were informed that they were going back to Hair Fairies (even if it was just to get a lice screening)! That’s what we love to hear and hope to always get this feedback! Hair fairies is the best place to be, lice or no lice!   We have everything up our sleeves here at Hair Fairies: video games and dvd players! They are the most amazing inventions and are the best ways to keep kids still and entertained

Dollie’s first head lice check

A little girl came in with her American Doll sure that her doll had to have head lice too. She explained to us how she was always with her "dollie". They use the same comb and brush and sleep together every night. Once her lice treatment was done, she asked if her doll could get screened for lice as well. We assured her that the doll wouldn't have head lice but she politely said please and that it would make her feel a lot better if we check the doll's hair for lice too. Margie checked the dollie and she was CLEAR! The little girl was so happy that she had not given head lice to her favorite doll.

Vampires of Nature during Halloween Halloween is around the corner! Everyone gets SO excited about what they are going to wear. It's an exciting time for lice too you know. They get to crawl onto lots of different heads (more often than other times) because people are sharing a lot of things such as wigs, caps, costumes, scarves…you name it! People forget or don't know they need to be careful plus it kinda takes the fun out of things to.   Head Lice and dinner parties Head lice is a subject that people don't usually talk about but boy when it does come up the flood gates open. As a manager of Hair Fairies Connecticut lice salon, time and time again I observe that when people get word of what I do they become enthralled by the subject and have nothing but questions and stories. Whether it be out in public on my days off or in the salon…The questions and stories gather people into an intense and often comical conversation that sometimes seemingly has no end to it. I feel there should be a lice support group because of the stress and trauma we witness it cause many families. This intense experience makes for an interesting and well opinionated subject matter.
