Tips Galore

Tips Galore! A family of 6 came in to Hair Fairies with 3 daughters. They had thick long hair and all had very severe lice infestations. We had to work on them for a good length of time so much so that we had to scheduled a continued appointment for the very next day. Their mom acknowledge how tiring and time consuming the lice treatment process can be and was very grateful for our services. She generously tipped the girls $20.00. per child per day! The technicians were very happy and felt very appreciated.Thank you to our clients that turn this in to a positive experience for our hardworking Hair Fairies!

Friday The 13th!!!

Friday the 13th!!! Friday the 13th is often associated with bad luck but at Hair Fairies – The Head Lice Helpers  Lice Treatment salon in Connecticut, it was the opposite. The clients had a wonderful time taking advantage of our Free head lice screening day and also our Free brush give away in appreciation for choosing Hair Fairies!!! One of the moms said "Wow!!! It can't get any better than a Free lice check, Free brush and lice Free status…. today must be my lucky day!!!" Hair Fairies can turn drastic moments into happy memories!

Friday the 13th This past Friday the 13th was a great day here at Hair Fairies Los Angeles Lice Treatment salon. We were offering everyone a free lice check and hair brush as a thank you. The Los Angeles Salon had a great turn out with a huge number of clients who wanted to get screened and treated for lice. They were so excited that while at the salon they would call their friends and tell them about our free head lice checks. It was a mini head lice party for our clients and their friends. Out of all the clients that we had that day we got an additional 5-10 people coming in to get a free check from all the phone calls our clients were making. It turned out to be a good luck charm because out of all the people checked that day we only found two cases of lice and they opted to get treated in the salon. Either way everyone was lucky because in the end EVERYONE got rid of their lice. 

Kids say the darnest things

Some young girls came to Hair Fairies New York Lice Salon from the same school.  One friend asks the other "hey what are you doing here at Hair Fairies?" The second girl says shyly "I have lice." The first girl says, "it just happens , everyone gets lice once in a while."  It was like a planned COFFEE TALK. The mom looks at her daughter in shock at how calm her 7 year old was about getting head lice.  "God bless kids and their honestly and candor", she says. Head lice is something that almost every kid gets at least once in their life. kids always want to know more about what is going on with this "LICE thing".  They ask as many questions as you can possibly imagine to help them understand…why me???  The who, what, where and when questions are always thoroughly and patiently answered at Hair Fairies. We can't  stop our kids from having friends.  We just have to do as much as we can to prevent our kids from getting head lice or if they do get it — manage the problem quickly.  For instance using the Tea Tree Preventive Oil every morning especially when your child is going to be around lots of kids is a smart thing to do.  Also keeping your child's hair up in a pony so they have less hair-to-hair contact with other children (who may have head lice) can help too.  And finally using the Hair Fairies Lice Repellent Spray on your child's jackets, book bags (all non washables) to repell/kill any head lice that may have gotten crept onto your belongings.

Satisfaction is guaranteed here at Hair Fairies — even when we have lost our wireless headset in the process of  checking you out 🙂 We had a family last week who came in for head lice treatments.  After I had checked the clients out, I noticed they had left their bag of products and personal belongings on our sofa at our Head Lice Salon.  The family already had left a few seconds and were catching a cab.  I quickly stormed out of the salon with my wireless phone attached to my headset in the side of my scrubs pocket.   Happily I was able to run the cab down so I could hand that family their belongings.  When I returned back to the salon I noticed that my head set was attached but the wireless phone was nowhere to be found.    The wireless phone that was attached to the headset had fallen out of my scrub pocket while I was rushing to give the clients their much needed lice products.  Hair Fairies customer satisfaction guaranteed even if it means losing a phone  :-)

Our Clients love that here at Hair Fairies we are very welcoming and no case seems too outrageous for us to handle. We calm frantic families and educate them in everything they need to know about head lice. Even when clients have been here before we remind them of the procedures that should be followed at home to prevent themselves from getting head lice again. With such variety such as DVDs, DS games, Reading books, Coloring books, Kitchen Sets and more it sure makes for a stimulating environment.. They are always upset to leave Hair Fairies and always excited to come back. When I went to do a school check I heard one of the children telling another child that she couldnt wait to go back to Hair Fairies because she got to play with her favorite technician, watch a movie and potentially watch another movie!! Here at Hair Fairies we try to make your lice treatment experience as enjoyable as possible.

All in the family

All in the Family Here at Hair Fairies we have a few families who come in every couple of months just for a routine lice check. Moms have gotten vigilant about their children not contracting head lice again so they come in to get everyone in the family screened. This one particular family has been coming to us for years and we have seen the children grow up throughout that time. Mom always puts our lice prevention oil in the girl’s hair and braids it up. When they come home she sprays their backpacks and jackets with our Lice Repellant Spray and hangs them up on hooks. She is a mom who understands that she is better off buying natural lice products to prevent lice than struggling later to try and stop a lice infestation. Mom calls herself the “honorary mom fairy” and always thanks us for helping her know all there is to know about lice. When she came in today to get everyone screened, it had been about a year since we last saw her. She now has a new addition to the family and she says she now has another Hair Fairies customer for us. We can’t wait!

Cute Hairdo!!!

  Cute Hairdo!!!  Girls love their hairdo at the end of their lice removal treatment.  For instance a six year old girl that came to have her lice removed at Hair Fairies lice treatment salon in CT. She showed her true love for head lice removal and post hairdo fun when she came back for her second and last treatment. She asked me if I could please do the same hairdo she got last time because everyone loved it and she got a lot of compliments from friends and family. Her mom stood very closely to learn how to do it since her daughter was driving her crazy to do it for her and she didn't know how to. With that being said, at Hair Fairies you not only get your lice removed but you get to go home with a cute hairdo!!!   —

    Hair Fairies lice salons are a FUN place to be all around!!!  The amazing thing about working in an environment where nobody wants to be… is the kids and employees NEVER want to leave.  Maybe its the game boys and TVs or maybe it's the friendly technicians who greet with a smile that never ends. For example, after a child was done with his head lice treatment, here in Hair Fairies salon in CT, he was so eager to go play with the toys and our coloring books.  When the mom was done with her lice screening and asked him to leave he was pleading with her for more time. For the first time ever he stayed inside the margins of the picture he was coloring.  It was a very sweet moment. These stories come up daily.  To this day my very favorites are, "can I have my birthday party at Hair Fairies" and "I want to be a Hair Fairy when I grow up".  I think the reason why we are so liked is because our company spends so much time and effort on training employees.  They encourage individualism and kindness all around.  We accomplish objectives at our own speed and unique way. This is remarkable because it leaves you empowered to do things how you like them done but with a communal end goal.

Angels to the rescue

I had a client come in who said she had been battling with head lice for months with her daughter's. The young girl tells me, "please can you get them out". She was being teased constantly at school and her friends did not want to be around her because of her head lice. It broke my heart. When I started treating her it looked as if there was NO previous treatment. She had an acute case of lice. The mom told me that she had bought the toxic over the counter drug the pediatrician had recommended several times. She was able to remove over 200 live bugs but knew that she hadn't gotten rid of the problem because she was continuing to find nits. The mom had spent so much money on the over the counter products and it didn't seem to get rid of the problem. She thought she would never get rid of her daughter's head lice infestation. Then one day at a visit to her doctor her daughter had a different pediatrician check her because her pediatrician wasn't in. She told the new pediatrician how she had been battling with head lice for months. The pediatrician told her about a lice removal salon called Hair Fairies The Head Lice Helpers. The mom told me how relieved she felt that a place like this existed. It took 2 technicians to treat her daughter since her lice infestation was so severe. With a successful lice free status in the end the girl felt so much better and happy we were finally done. The mom was ecstatic and was constantly thanking us. She told us that we were angels.  I think these angels need to communicate even more to pediatricians that curing lice is a manual removal process no matter what product you are using. It's been this way for 20 years! There is no magic solution; only angels like hair fairies 🙂
